Our Story
Faye and Dave, the owners of Frog Pond Farm, have grown up around horses–competing, teaching and caring for horses as a business for a combined 9 decades. They each grew up competing through the national level in USEF; Dave in Ohio and the east coast, Faye in California and the west coast. Blessed with a successful career in management with the YMCA, Dave re-directed to build Heritage Acres, a thriving competition and lesson program in Dillsburg, PA. He has produced many National level horse and rider combos. Faye relocated to PA after college and held a career with the Commonwealth of PA as well as joining Dave's team at Heritage Acres. Dave "retired" in 2014 and they relocated to Americus, GA. Our doors officially opened in July of 2017 and we are welcoming riders of all levels as well as a few boarding spots. Our specialties include building riders with a foundation in classical horsemanship, developing courageous quality horses, and teaching "fraidy-cat riders"!

This is me, in 1990, on my pony Jeepers. She wasn't my first experience with horses, nor was she my first pony... but she was my heart pony. She taught me everything from being gritty, to having a friend who will listen and mostly always accept a hug, and how rewarding it is to have your own horse want to be with you. We had so many adventures and experiences growing up together!
Then there is Travis, my heart horse. He taught me more about riding and horsemanship, the technicalities of speed over fences at height... about passion and about heart.

Since then, I have had a long career in horses. I went to college at California State University, Fresno on a riding scholarship which were some of the best years of my life. For my horse career I’ve focused mainly in the hunter/jumper industry, with training, teaching and showing. I love competing, but the love of horses is my favorite thing in life. I grew up living at the barn with all my best friends, horses and kids, and I wanted to create that same environment for others. At Frog Pond Farm, we want to bring you the fun and love of horses while also providing excellent, safe instruction and horsemanship skills.
